Libre Fighting does not utilize a traditional ranking system based on colored belts, t-shirts or sashes. Instead, Libre uses a system of titles to provide a structure to what position practitioners hold within the hierarchy of Libre Fighting.
New Blood: A student new to the discipline of Libre Fighting.
Apprentice: An established practitioner of Libre Fighting.
Trainer: Someone certified to head a Libre Fighting Chapter outside of San Diego.
Disciple: An expert in Libre Fighting. Disciples have undergone a strenuous initiation that has been described as "being jumped into a gang for four hours straight." Disciples are authorized to teach Libre Fighting, unsupervised and are eligible to become members of the Libre Fighting Council.
Master Disciple: A leading practitioner of Libre Fighting. Master Disciple is the highest title bestowed within Libre.
